Coppernic solutions A French company expert in mobility solutions, Coppernic offers its customers terminals and mobile solutions, in particular, services around mobile biometric solutions, mobile access control, public transport ticketing, parking management, etc.

The Challenge

Coppernic needed to replace its aging management system with a new solution that was in line with the evolution of its business and that integrated more modern functionalities.
The new solution had to cover the following functionalities:

  • Sales management
  • Purchasing and inventory management
  • Production with subcontracting management
  • Aftersales service management
  • Equipment loan management
  • Maintenance and warranty contract management
  • Management of conditions of use

This transition to a new management platform required a rather delicate integration and significant functional adaptations.

The Solution

Coppernic chose to integrate Tryton, a versatile software solution recognized for its flexibility and ability to adapt to specific business needs. Tryton covers most of the requirements out of the box and provides a solid basis for the development of additional features.

The Implementation

After the development phase, during which the additional functionality was implemented, there was a testing phase, and then the data from the old system was imported into Tryton. At this point the old management software was successfully replaced and the go-live was on schedule.

One of the key points of the implementation was to optimize the use of stock. Many elements go into the production of Coppernic's products and it is important to determine if the evolution of stock levels can allow production and/or delivery to customers earlier, especially since suppliers sometimes deliver in advance, cancel or delay orders, and stock is sometimes needed for use on other customers' orders.

Now, Coppernic can very quickly determine, depending on the state of its stock, if production and/or customer deliveries can be made in advance.

Results

The initial implementation of Tryton allowed Coppernic to modernize and optimize its management system, and Tryton enabled further improvements to be made after it was already in use.
